Workers' Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing a company's workers' compensation program. Implements all matters of the program, including claim investigations, settlements, and litigation. Being a Workers' Compensation Manager establishes standards and procedures for all matters relating to workers' compensation. Responsible for finding an insurance provider that meets organizational goals of employee coverage and cost effectiveness. Additionally, Workers' Compensation Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Workers' Compensation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Workers' Compensation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 yrs of Worker's Compensation knowledge. This individual will report to the Settlement Director and work alongside a team of experienced Settlement Coordinators, Attorneys, Paralegals, and other support staff in assisting individuals with existing claims to bring their cases to close.

    **This is an ON-SITE Position**

    The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

    • 2 relevant Worker's Compensation experience
    • Exceptional phone etiquette and comfort with speaking on the phone

    • Detail oriented nature to meet the demands of our fast-paced environment
    • Communicate effectively and empathetically with claimants who are dealing with difficult circumstances

    • Computer skills and a knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel programs
    • Bilingual (Spanish) is a MUST

    **Pay $41,000 - $48,000 per year**
