Volt is immediately hiring a Senior Lead Manufacturing Engineer to support a key client, located in Brownwood, TX.

As the Senior Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be accountable for ensuring that manufacturing capabilities are optimized for efficiency of direct labor, cost effectiveness, and quality. In addition, you will:

• Oversee the application of lean manufacturing principles in operations, including process layouts, assembly equipment, process flow, and any interfacing with the maintenance department for physical plant resource issues.
• Work with operations, maintenance, and quality to identify continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
• Troubleshoot productivity, quality, and parts issues in manufacturing, determining root cause, correcting problems, and instituting processes to prevent the same (or similar) issues from recurring.
• Ensure that processes and procedures are documented and current.
• Implement and/or monitor process improvement efforts pertaining to plant layout, work methods, and equipment.
• Document and advise on proper routing within the manufacturing process.
• Perform other assigned duties.

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Advanced management, science or engineering related degree preferred
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
• 5 years of manufacturing experience
• Expert engineer in one or more areas
• Capable of leading major projects, including the supervision of other engineers
• Experience in Design of Experiments, full data analysis and report writing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
