Workforce Analyst analyzes and evaluates workforce metrics to improve human resources capacity planning and maximize labor utilization rates. Utilizes hiring, sourcing, attrition, and productivity metrics to provide actionable insights about the current and future states of a workforce. Being a Workforce Analyst applies predictive models and methods to develop short and long-term forecasts. Produces reports and visualizations that provide easy to understand information required for decision making. Additionally, Workforce Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Workforce Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     A Workforce Analyst II job is available with The City of Fort Worth Water Utility/Management Services. This position will support Fort Worth Water by providing data insight to inform decision-making, monitor the design, development, and implementation of programs, and identify gaps within the industry and Fort Worth Water. Moreover, the position will coordinate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop programs and processes to mitigate or eliminate gaps. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed for this position.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.
    • At least two (2) years of experience in research and analysis

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Change Management Certification and or Project Management Certification
    • Masters in Industrial-Organization Psychology or related field
    • 2 to 3 years of relevant workforce analytics or related experience in advance statistical analysis, text analysis, and working with extensive data sets through software platforms
    • Experience with persuasive writing skills and the ability to employ business and scholarly writing standards in reports, white papers, briefs, and training materials
    • Experience with research design, quantitative methodology, statistical programs (i.e., SPSS, R, SAS Visual Statistics, etc.), and research ethics

    The Workforce Analyst II job responsibilities include:

    • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify current processes and capabilities; analyze historical data to capture trends; identifies future needs; conducts needs and gap analyses; and identifies opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and automation.
    • Serve as an assigned department liaison with other city departments, divisions and outside agencies.
    • Identify areas of improvement by analyzing data, determine appropriate goals, and recommend strategies to meet or surpass these goals.
    • Provide strong internal consulting skills and a track record of influencing stakeholders
    • Persuasive writing skills and the ability to employ business and scholarly writing standards in reports, white papers, briefs, and training material
    • Deliver engaging visual presentation to all levels of leadership
    • Conduct special projects as needed
