Position Overview:

As a Traveling Sheetmetal Superintendent, you'll take the lead in overseeing all field operations related to ductwork on construction projects. Your accountability spans ensuring safety, quality, and timely project completion while adhering to both company and industry standards. This role requires extensive travel to diverse project sites, with the onsite field team size varying based on project complexity. You play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of Sheetmetal (HVAC) projects while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee installation of ductwork for timely delivery to jobsite and accurate field installation.
• Direct and manage all field personnel on-site, adjusting team size based on project requirements.
• Oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to create, monitor, and adhere to project schedules.
• Attend mandatory job site meetings for project updates and changes.
• Assist in the preparation of project plans and ensure execution in alignment with plans.
• Enforce strict adherence to company and Jobsite safety procedures and standards.
• Conduct and document weekly safety "toolbox" talks for field personnel education.
• Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure compliance with Hazard Communication (Haz-com) regulations.
• Facilitate effective communication between field personnel, Project Manager, and stakeholders.
• Perform various personnel actions including hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and vacation schedules.
• Maintain and submit accurate as-built drawings and other documentation promptly.
• Inspect and submit reports on the condition of tools, equipment, and safety gear.
• Ensure the job site maintains a high standard of appearance, professionalism, and organization.
• Maintain and ensure the company vehicle is compliant with manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as a Sheetmetal Superintendent on construction projects.
• At least 10 years of experience specifically with Sheetmetal (HVAC).
• Strong knowledge of Sheetmetal fabrication, install processes, techniques, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in management, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
