Workforce Analyst analyzes and evaluates workforce metrics to improve human resources capacity planning and maximize labor utilization rates. Utilizes hiring, sourcing, attrition, and productivity metrics to provide actionable insights about the current and future states of a workforce. Being a Workforce Analyst applies predictive models and methods to develop short and long-term forecasts. Produces reports and visualizations that provide easy to understand information required for decision making. Additionally, Workforce Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Workforce Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Grant Writer & Development Coordinator

    Hours: 32-40 hours per week

    Position Summary
    Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, the Coordinator will assist in local, regional, national, and global workforce planning and development activity to assist the organization in reaching its strategic goals.

    Minimum Qualifications
    The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills/experiences:

    • Successful grant writing experience preferred,
    • Self-starter who is organized, enthusiastic and comfortable working in a flexible and fast-changing environment,
    • Experience in analyzing data, identifying trends and providing concise analysis,
    • Working knowledge of workforce data sources,
    • Use appropriate computer systems including the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite,
    • Strong technical writing skill,
    • Ability to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment; and
    • Strong organizational skills, including but not limited to, maintaining a work timeline; track and communicate project progress, see tasks through to completion, and successfully multi-task.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate setting up grant management system
    • Coordinate the submissions of grant applications including background and labor market information research, maintain information on community needs, and develop community relationships
    • Review and assess approaches and implementation to performance (metric) management systems.
    • Prepare reports for internal and external audiences on planning, development or labor market issues as requested
    • Research and recommend additional funding sources, maintaining public and private funding information.
    • Research, develop and apply program outcome methodology for Workforce Connections, Inc. programs.
    • Provide data and input into strategic planning sessions with data and trend analysis.

    OTHER DUTIES AS ASSISNED

    • Participate in program training sessions and workshops as needed and requested
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Follow all policy and performance procedures established by Workforce Connections.
    • Act as a member of the Workforce Connections staff exhibiting professionalism, teamwork, and company values.

    PHYSICAL/SENSORY/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
    The majority of the work time will be spent in an office setting and in the community in a variety of settings assisting in achieving the goals and objectives of Workforce Connections, Inc. Mobility within the rural and urban community may be required. Must be able to drive and have access to a reliable vehicle. Will be required to sit at a desk or in meetings for an extended period of time. Ability to present information and respond to questions from staff, board members, and the general public when speaking on the phone or in face-to-face interactions.

    Uses hearing and vision with the ability to collaborate and orchestrate in a variety of environments. Regular use of fine motor skills for writing or typing. Lifting of objects up to 30 pounds may be required. Bending and walking required regularly.

    Regularly will concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously along with the capacity to respond calmly and quickly to deadlines required. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
    Majority of work is performed in an office setting, community, and varied conditions.
