JOB TITLE:
Research Professional I - Workforce Specialist
JOB PURPOSE:
Work under the guidance of SER Research Professional II or III, Program Manager, Center Director, Senior Director of Research on applied energy research to drive energy-related economic development for Wyoming. This research professional will work within the School of Energy Resources’ Center for Economic Geology Research (CEGR), under the guidance of the Directors of CEGR, and in collaboration with the team of other research professionals in CEGR and the other Centers of Excellence at SER. The position will focus on stakeholder engagement, public outreach, workforce development, energy research, and other tasks under the auspices of several DOE funded grants. Duties will include the coordination, planning, and management of workforce development research and programs, community engagement events, and other related energy-focused social science research.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Physicist, Geochemist, Economist, Data/GIS/Computer Science, Visualization, social sciences related to energy development, etc.)
Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree or equivalent in social science field, environment and natural resources field, public policy, or other relevant field. ABD acceptable.
Several years of professional experience in a relevant field.
