Workforce Analyst analyzes and evaluates workforce metrics to improve human resources capacity planning and maximize labor utilization rates. Utilizes hiring, sourcing, attrition, and productivity metrics to provide actionable insights about the current and future states of a workforce. Being a Workforce Analyst applies predictive models and methods to develop short and long-term forecasts. Produces reports and visualizations that provide easy to understand information required for decision making. Additionally, Workforce Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Workforce Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized experience which includes: (1) Providing guidance on personnel management policies and programs, such as training, professional development opportunities and development of workforce requirements; (2) Conduct training briefings, presentations and/or courses to inform, update or educate the workforce; (3) Analyze/evaluate problem areas to provide improvement to a training program. (4) Develop, implement, and analyze standards to determine program performance and create action plans to resolve any issues. and (5) Prepare papers and staff reports, prepare and present briefings to management and recommend courses of action to resolve issues.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
