Workforce Coordinator

  • Position Summary: The Workforce Coordinator is a supporting role to the IT Helpdesk staff. This individual must possess the ability to analyze large amounts of ticketing and call data to position the Helpdesk staff for success. The Workforce Coordinator is responsible for the day to day monitoring of schedule adherence, tardiness and absences of the Helpdesk staff. This individual must have great attention to detail and identify opportunities to increase the productivity and effectiveness of the Helpdesk team.


    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor real time agent adherence to inbound call and ticketing volume and engage management on corrective actions.
    • Monitor and record occurrences of unplanned tardiness and absences of Helpdesk staff and provide reporting outputs to management team.
    • Review month over month data and develop scheduling and forecasting models to meet support demand for 1,700 EG America stores.
    • Review month over month contractor and overtime spend for the Helpdesk staff and make recommendations to increase/reduce spend based on performance.
    • Review existing workforce and labor management technologies and make recommendations to implement new tools that will increase the effectiveness of the IT staff.


    Working Relationships:
    The Workforce Coordinator will be embedded with the Helpdesk teams to actively review the effectiveness of the Helpdesk staff. The individual in this role must have a passion for analyzing data with the purpose of improving performance outputs for large technical teams. This person will coordinate with the support staff to identify opportunities to reduce or eliminate unnecessary call volume.


    Minimum Education: Associates degree or technical coursework completed

    Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT Management

    Minimum Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a operational role in payroll or human resources

    Preferred Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a workforce role supporting a call center team.

    Licenses/Certifications: SWP Strategic Workforce Planning or other workforce certifications

    Soft Skills: The ideal candidate will have effective written and verbal communication skills and must possess the analytical skills to perform forecasting, scheduling, performance management and reporting.
