Wound Care Services Director directs the programs and staff of the wound care services department. Develops and implements wound care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff. Being a Wound Care Services Director monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Responsible for the education of clinical staff. Additionally, Wound Care Services Director requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires license to practice medicine. The Wound Care Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Wound Care Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Advanced Chronic Wound Care is searching for a certified Nurse Practitioner to join our mobile team in Aspen, CO and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals suffering from various types of open chronic wounds. We provide in-home specialized wound treatments. Training is provided.
We offer a friendly and dedicated work atmosphere. At this time, we have an opening for prn, contract work. If you are already employed and have time to fill or if you just want a part-time job, then this is an ideal position for you. Full time may be available in the future. Contract is non-exclusive.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with chronic open wounds using skin substitute grafts.
- Thoroughly document your patient encounters according to CMS guidelines and ensure accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, PCP, and anyone involved in the patient's care.
- Educate patients and families on how to treat their wounds and manage their health and well-being.
- Provide care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency.
- Maintain and uphold established patient care and company policies
- Adhere to clinical and safety protocols.
- Comply with HIPAA policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license
- Certification in Nursing
- Willingness to learn a new approach to wound care
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable Vehicle
- Positive Driving Record
