Wound Care Services Director directs the programs and staff of the wound care services department. Develops and implements wound care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff. Being a Wound Care Services Director monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Responsible for the education of clinical staff. Additionally, Wound Care Services Director requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires license to practice medicine. The Wound Care Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Wound Care Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. We are seeking a Wound Care Nurse to provide the best possible care for residents. We provide consulting and support services to skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers that also provide long-term care. This position will provide care that will quickly and safely heal various types of wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, bed sores, feeding tube sites and abscesses. The Wound Care Nurse will access residents’ wounds, create and implement treatment plans, monitor infections and signs of various infections, and clean wounds. Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are both encouraged to apply.
