Wound Care Services Director jobs in Lowell, MA

Wound Care Services Director directs the programs and staff of the wound care services department. Develops and implements wound care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff. Being a Wound Care Services Director monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Responsible for the education of clinical staff. Additionally, Wound Care Services Director requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires license to practice medicine. The Wound Care Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Wound Care Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    • The Director of Social Services (DSS) manages the psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs of residents residing in a skilled nursing center
    • The DSS will develop and/or aide in the access of services
    • Services will be provided in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics along with strict adherence to government regulations

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • The DSS must have skills in communication, assessment and social work methods and techniques
    • Work effectively with a variety of disciplines in an individual and team setting
    • Possess a working understanding of social systems along with the ability to implement pertinent state and federal regulations
    • Licensed required, minimum LSW required with SNF experience
