Wound Care/Infection Control-Registered Nurse (RN)-Full Time/Days

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is a one-of-a-kind rehabilitation and community re-entry facility in Lake Katrine, NY (near Kingston, NY), specializing in:

• Ventilator Care and Ventilator Weaning
• Neurobehavioral Disorders

We are currently looking for Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care-Full Time/Days. 

 Responsibilities:

• Primarily evaluating & caring for Residents' wound needs.
• Providing wound care services; wound debridement, application & removal of dressings.
• Performing weekly skin assessments of Residents under their care.
• Assures, maintains and implements care plans as directed.
• Assess, monitor & record Residents progress during the healing phase.
• Responsible for educating Residents on proper care for their wounds.
• Other nursing duties as assigned by DON.

Requirements:

• Must have a current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Specialized in Wound care preferred
• Short Term/Subacute care experience preferred
• Excellent work ethic
• Must have demonstrated ability to make decisions with good nursing judgment, handle emergencies and maintain excellent patient assessment skill.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Compensation:

Rate will be commensurate with experience/licensure.
