Overview:

We are seeking an Entry Level Staff Accountant to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin their career in accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles.

Main Job Responsibilities Include:

• Perform account reconciliations for payments, billing or misapplied payments
• Review monthly sales tax reports and confirm receipt of sales tax exemption certificates from customers
• Perform cost analysis on jobs for monthly sales commissions
• Prepare and enter journal entries on monthly sales commissions
• Update and maintain report on prevailing wage for semi-monthly payroll purposes and assists in prevailing wage process
• Assists in preparation of the monthly/yearly budget
• Enter customer payments by check, ACH or credit card
• Acts as back up for A/P process
• Assists in billing process when needed
• Special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• High level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Knowledge of debits and credits
• Must exhibit professional conduct and complete confidentiality
• Must be well organized, dependable and able to meet dead-lines
• Must have the ability to multi-task and have strong attention to details
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exhibit a positive attitude
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
