eCommerce Manager manages the development, deployment, and maintenance of e-commerce websites. Oversees e-commerce site developers to ensure that e-commerce sites are built and expanded based on evolving technology and business needs. Being an eCommerce Manager creates and implements processes and procedures for integrating e-commerce sites with backend systems, including pricing, inventory, and customer relationship databases. Requires knowledge of common web development languages (e.g., HTML, Java, PHP, JSP, ASP.NET, Python, AJAX.) Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, eCommerce Manager typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The eCommerce Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an eCommerce Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The ideal candidate is highly organized with a proven ability to multi-task especially in an agile, fast-paced, deadline driven environment. He or she should have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.



    Desired Skills & Experience:

    • At least 5 years of professional experience with at least 3 years of experience ecommerce managing marketing and merchandising programs.
    • Technical understanding of e-commerce web platforms and analytics. Magento experience a must.
    • Competency with HTML and CSS relative to CMS preferably Magento.
    • Understanding of front and back-end logistical online order placement and fulfillment cycles (payment process, back-end inventory fulfillment, order confirmation and shipping) to optimize online customer experience.
    • Experience constructing online marketing/advertising programs and site content.
    • Digital Marketing experience SEO, SEM, Affiliate, etc.with a heavy emphasis on email marketing.
    • Email Marketing experience with HTML coding, list management and email analytics are a must with a preference using the Bronto and Klaviyo email service providers.


    Day to Day:

    • Manage site calendar regarding seasonal product launches, site enhancements, promotions, etc.
    • Manage all site content including daily management of home and category pages ensuring key goals are achieved.
    • Lead the delivery and trafficking of creative assets to/from site/graphic designers and developers.
    • Partner with third party partners to optimize opportunities to grow marketing programs and customer audience.
    • Monitor and report on key campaign metrics including open rates, conversions, CTR, and retention.
