eCommerce Strategy Director implements the policies and plans to execute the overall vision, strategy, and capacity needed to support organizational long-term and short-term e-commerce sales growth goals. Provides support for evaluating e-commerce investments & initiatives and facilitates the development of business cases and marketing plans. Being an eCommerce Strategy Director compiles data and analytics to study traffic, trends, customer touchpoints, and pain points used to analyze opportunities for innovation and expansion of customer engagement and revenue. Partners with stakeholders across the organization to optimize digital channels. Additionally, eCommerce Strategy Director plans and implements technical projects for improvements to customer experience, new e-commerce features and offerings. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The eCommerce Strategy Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an eCommerce Strategy Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Purpose and Impact:  

     

    As the Director of eCommerce, you will be at the forefront of optimizing, re-imagining and ever-evolving the digital customer experience for Edible Brands 

     

    The Director of eCommerce is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to manage and direct all aspects of the online business. This includes strategizing, planning, developing, and executing content plans, overseeing promotional materials and campaigns, and monitoring performance analytics, website traffic, and product performanceYou will have the opportunity to lead a best-in-class team that delivers across merchandising, promotion strategy, conversion rate optimization, SEOsite analytics and more.

    Location: This position will work onsite out of our home office in Sandy Springs, GA, with work from home flexibility on Fridays. 

     

    What that looks like day to day:   

    • Lead strategy for wow-worthy, omni-channel digital customer experiences, primarily focused on the eCommerce website and app 
    • Ensure site and app content meets brand objectives, customers' expectations, eCommerce best practices, and search engine optimization (SEO) requirements  
    • Identify conversion rate growth hack opportunities for a brand that has a 25  year legacy and a household name, but wants to be at the forefront of technology and eCommerce experience  
    • Maximize customer engagement by anticipating customer needs, exceeding their expectations, and giving them a streamlined path to conversion 
    • Lead the eCommerce team to drive site experience through search functionality, site merchandising, new product on-boarding, and collaboration with cross-functional teams on the execution of content on the Edible site and app 
    • Work closely with our Marketing team to bring profitable, engaging campaign and promotion strategies to life through an omni-channel lens 
    • Work closely with our Creative team to drive website UX/UI improvements that will drive business KPI’s and weigh in on high-level technical feasibility
    • Collaborate with the Technology teams on implementing the right Platform features, Customer UX, Store fulfillment experience for the transformation that Edible has embarked upon. And implementing the right back-office applications to support the front-end transformations. 

    Required Experience:  

    • 10 years in eCommerce experience and 7 years managing high-performing teams  
    • Seasoned eCommerce professional with strong, hands-on experience in CRO, scaling growth for established DTC brands, and leading best-in class teams 
    • Experience with merchandising, creating seamless user experiences and driving sales across channels including desktop, mobile, app, in-store, and third-party digital retailers

    • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives that will drive revenue growth
    • Strategic and analytical thinker with exceptional execution and problem-solving capabilities; comfortable with doing work in the trenches while still maintaining a strategic perspective  
    • Proven people leader with experience in both managing teams directly and rallying cross-functional teams and executives together around eCommerce initiatives 
    • Comfortable working and negotiating with 3rd party vendors

    Bonus Competencies:  

    • You have the experience and skills to be able to identify and/or recommend technical business needs such as security audits, ADA/regulatory compliance, and general software or platform updates, working together with our Technology team to bring solutions to life.   
    • You're able to drive improvements regarding documentation around the online business, including processes, vendor arrangements/contacts, customer flows and funnels, etc.
