Overview of the Role:
Dotdash Meredith is seeking a Digital Video Strategist to join its growing Video Strategy team. Ideal candidates will be highly innovative and entrepreneurial, proactively working to drive organic viewership through actionable systems and insights. Reporting to the VP of Video Strategy, the Strategist will leverage their expertise of global trends and Internet culture into a video programming strategy backed by rigorous ecosystem analysis and a core understanding of business objectives.
Candidates must have foundational and proven experience in developing, communicating, and presenting a programming strategy on YouTube, with additional knowledge of social, and other emerging platforms. The Director will also lead the reporting and analysis of key performance and health metrics across a grouping of brands, including People, Entertainment Weekly, InStyle, and Allrecipes.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:
Build frameworks to research topics and talent for pilot development and existing series.
Create white space analyses and lane guides that will be used to develop new programming.
Track, evaluate, and report on the health of channels and series.
Coordinate and develop creative lookbacks for series pilots.
Partner cross-functionally to set brand-level programming priorities, factoring in both audience funnels and business needs.
Work with the Corporate Strategy team to establish annual strategic plans as well as growth goals by brand and platform.
Have a strategic POV on emerging platforms and how they can be leveraged for audience growth.
Proactively filter content and platform insights back into business, create and deliver presentations.
In partnership with internal Data Science & Product teams, define and build a suite of reports and dashboards
Monitor and evaluate competitive channels.

Must-haves:
7 years of experience in a programming strategy, content insights, or an optimization role for a global media & entertainment company or digital platform.
Highly analytical; critically and objectively evaluates information.
Advanced understanding of video platforms such as YouTube.
Relevant experience using Tubular Insights.
A plus if you have an advanced understanding of YT optimization principles.

Pay Range
Salary: $105,000 - $150,000The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.
