Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Additionally, Academic Advising Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the associate dean. The Academic Advising Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Job Summary
The Director of CNS First Year Advising will be responsible for the development, functioning, and supervision of the First Year Advising Program that supports all CNS first year undergraduates. The Director of CNS First Year Advising assists students, faculty, advisors, and parents with issues such as orientation, academic programming, and advising relating to progress within a degree program. In consultation with CNS student success team, the Director of CNS First Year Advising will develop, implement, promote and assess student success needs and initiatives.
