PAX coordinators are integral in connecting the organization with families and schools in their local communities. Typical responsibilities for a PAX coordinator include:
· Securing placements with volunteer host families and local high schools for semester and academic year exchange students
· Generating interest in your local community and working with volunteer families interested in hosting
· Conducting orientations for host families and students
· Providing support and guidance as students adjust to cultural differences and their host family environment
· Giving your friends, neighbors, community members, and the international students they host the opportunity of a lifetime to share cultures and become family
