Accounting Clerk performs routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Reviews, codes, and verifies transactions including billings, invoices, checks, and journal entries. Being an Accounting Clerk assists in completing moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software tools. Reconciles accounts and bank statements. Additionally, Accounting Clerk has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounting Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk would be responsible for • Monitoring Accounts Payable email, responding to vendors for payment status. Entering all invoices received into our accounting software to be coded and phased according to the job. Collecting and entering receipts, reconciling employee purchase statements. Reconciling month-end statements from vendors, responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable ensuring accurate books.
