Hires, trains, supervises and terminates as required, department employees under the guidelines of the facility policies and procedures as may be dictated in writing or through direct assignment by the General Manager.
Evaluates and counsels department employees on performance under the guidelines and time frames of the facility policies and procedures as may be dictated in writing or through direct assignment by the General Manager.
Prepares work schedules and ensures compliance for activity and transportation staff based on resident/facility needs and budgetary allowances. Maintains all schedule changes and keeps proposed and actual schedules on file for a minimum of 12 months.
Develops, implements and evaluates all areas of independent activity programs including but not limited to: in-house games, crafts, social functions, music and entertainment events, education programs, day trips, overnight trips, and participation in local community activities and events.
Develops, implements and evaluates all areas of residential care activity programs similar to or in conjunction with independent programs.
Prepares monthly calendar in a timely manner for approval by General Manager.
Oversees Gift Shop operation.
Oversees transportation program including scheduling vehicles, trips, appointments, and resident sign-ups. Reports vehicle status and needs to Maintenance.
Participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of department budget
Provides orientation to new residents and ongoing information services to existing residents.
Participates in planning and implementation of marketing events.
Coordinates volunteer program for facility.
Participates in marketing programs, tours, and events.
Valid Drivers License and good driving record
