Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking an Addiction Technician or Specialist to support direct clinical care to clients, through the completion of many essential duties that includes intakes and discharges, clinical documentation, counseling, case management and resource coordination, monitoring of vitals signs and withdrawal symptoms, transport of clients to and from hospitals and treatment centers, risk assessment, interface with community partners such as hospitals and law enforcement, and more.

About the team.
The Detox Center provides 24/7 care to individuals experiencing acute intoxication or withdrawal from drugs and/or alcohol. Level of care is ASAM 3.2 (Social Model Detox). Team monitors treatment progress of clients in a 30 bed clinic.
$1,000 Sign On Bonus Available! *Not eligible for PRN candidates, internal employees, and re-hired employees within 90 days from separation.
Based on full time (40 hours/week). Prorate if less than 40 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on first paycheck, 50% on paycheck following 6-month anniversary.
Salary for this role. Starting wage is based on experience and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.
Available Shift: This position is fully on-site working 4 - 10 hour shifts, Swing Shift 1:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Shift Differential Pay. The swing shift is from 3 pm to 11 pm
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *rate depends on language requirements for the position and candidate's fluency.
