  • Responsibilities of Admissions Coordinator
    Serves as Admissions Coordinator for the College acting as a resource to prospective students, transit, special cohort populations, and returning students. Coordinates, tracks, and implements the student intake process and Early Alerts. Serves as Residency Officer. Ensures student data is accurate and complete.

    • Coordinates and tracks student intake process for new and returning NETC students to include evaluating and processing all admissions materials and applications. Develops and maintains student files pertaining to the intake process and coordinates response to students as related to the student admissions policies and procedures. Assigns academic advisors to all students.
    • Coordinates, tracks, and implements the Early Alert policies and procedures. Implements the early alert touchpoint system. Coordinates correspondence and feedback to pertinent faculty, staff, and student to ensure appropriate support entities are accessible to students handling all tracking of student participation, tracking participation, and following up when necessary.
    • Serves as Residency Officer of the College. Verifies, confirms, and ensures residency status of all new and returning students are in compliance with NETC policies and procedures.  
    • Verifies all student data is correct and complete. Ensures accuracy in the student system for billing purposes. Works with Deans to ensure special cohorts are identified. Ensures admissions for all SNAP participants is complete.
    • Acts as a resource to prospective students, transit, special cohort populations, and returning students about programs, and refers students to the appropriate resources. Serves as back up for One Stop Centers. Participates in College Enrollment events.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid driver's license.Knowledge of the assigned program area, such as counseling, student activities, finanical aid, and recruiting. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, administrators, staff, students, parents, coworkers, and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively.Works under the supervision of the Vice President of Student Affairs

    Travel to other campus locations, high schools, community sites, and agencies may be required. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    NETC is a qualified employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time at NETC.
