Interviews patient/legal representative to obtain demographic and verification of verification of insurance information. Obtains required signatures. Informs patient of their rights. Works directly with the Medical/Dental Staff and their office personnel for scheduling of outpatient services and inpatient reservations.
High school graduate or GED equivalent, including courses in office procedures and computer applications. Must be able to pass alpha numeric test with 5,000 keystrokes per hours with 5% error rate.
Three months to one year in office procedures relating to admission and registration preferably in a hospital environment.
