Dear Healthcare Provider:
Veterans Evaluation Services is under contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs to find medical providers to perform compensation and pension evaluations for local veterans. On occasion, the medical providers we recruit must travel to see veterans. When this occurs, we contact provider offices where needed, and request exam room space on a per diem basis.
Payment is made through direct deposit, or by check. Your office will be responsible for recording the date, and the amount of time the exam space was used. Simply fax us an invoice and include the necessary information. Also, your office must be OSHA/ADA compliant and conform to the following standards for VES to be able to contract with your facility:
Disabled Accessible Parking-Must have designated handicapped parking that is clearly marked.
Front Entrance-Must have a ramp or graduated slope that is wheelchair accessible.
Waiting Room-Area for veterans to be received by our intake specialist or by the doctor. This room must be separate from the exam room and include chairs.
Exam Room-Must be an enclosed room with 4 walls and a door. Must be able to fit up to three people without difficulty. (with table, desk, and chairs with a back)
Doorways-must be no less than 32 inches and doors must be able to fully close.
Restroom-Must have 1-2 grab bars positioned around the toilet and wheelchair accessible. Restroom must only contain a toilet and a washbasin.
Elevator-This is only applicable if more than one floor needs to be accessed.
Wi-Fi Access-With adequate bandwidth or Ethernet cord (reliable internet)
Fire Extinguishers-Must have fire extinguisher with up to date inspection
