    We are searching for an Advancement Officer - Corporate & Foundation Relations whom will build a sustainable Corporation & Foundation giving program to support system-wide philanthropic priorities. Develop, manage and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for corporate and foundation grants, sponsorships and donations. Oversee all aspects of prospect research, proposal creation and solicitation. Manage a calendar of grants and activities including due dates, acquisition, renewal, stewardship, recognition and annual reporting of Corporate & Foundation metrics. Establish long-term partnerships, strengthen existing relationships and initiate new contacts within the Corporate & Foundation sector while managing all aspects grant solicitation. In addition, assist Philanthropy Team with Events, Annual Fund, Major Gifts, Planned Giving and Special Projects, as needed. Provide functional or technical supervision over other employees in same or closely related classifications, where scope of supervisory responsibility is limited to direction, guidance, explanation, etc.

    • Hours: 40 hours
    • Shift: Day Shift; 8am - 4:30pm
    • Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA


    Education and/or Experience Requirements:

    • Master's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Successful track record of researching and securing corporate and foundation grants, as well as knowledge of philanthropy principles and fundraising programs preferred.
    • Experience in Philanthropy goal setting, strategic planning and implementation required.
    • Track record of successful planning and meeting fundraising objectives, managing prospects/donors, securing grants, evaluating results and developing corrective strategies preferred.
    • Strong organizational, motivational skills required.
    • Familiarity with development software (i.e. Raisers Edge) and Internet Resources preferred.
    • Three years (3) experience in development preferred;
    • Experience in healthcare/medical field preferred.
    • Writing sample required.
