    Job Description:

    • Implement a data-driven strategy to achieve key performance indicators (KPI) for annual giving goals and objectives including overall dollars raised and the number of donors; renewal, lapsed, and new donor acquisition percentages and related dollar results; leadership giving; and alumni giving participation percentages. Maintain fluency and currency with annual giving goals and results. Develop and execute a detailed written, multiyear strategic plan and annual operating plan for annual giving programs for alumni, parents, friends, and campus constituencies. Partner with advancement services and constituent engagement in the improvement and expansion of data for AIC alumni to support direct outreach and segmentation strategies. Serve as the primary liaison for third-party vendors supporting annual giving solicitations and stewardship efforts.

    • Expand and integrate digital solicitations and donor recognition outreach to increase both the number of donors and participation percentages (with a focus on donor acquisition for the foreseeable future) in addition to giving levels. Develop and implement new crowdfunding and microphilanthropy opportunities for academic, student project, and student success priorities and continue to strengthen targeted outcomes associated with Athletics Giving Week (AGW).

    • Create and strategically sequence compelling annual giving content for social media, the college and institutional advancement websites, publications including the Lucent magazine, and within the full range of segmented appeals as well as donor acknowledgments. Co-manage the digital and social media coordinator together with the associate director of constituent engagement.

    • Partner with Athletics in the development and integration of coordinated and branded annual giving program for Athletics.

    • Prepare and maintain the annual giving program budget and track the return on investment against established goals and KPIs. Update weekly, monthly, and quarterly calendars and task lists with anticipatory alignment of resources and support and incorporating sufficient lead time for report and content development. Communicate annual giving results on a monthly, quarterly, calendar year-end, and fiscal year-end schedule including progress to goal/s and KPIs. Recommend and implement strategy realignments as necessary and appropriate. Track and evaluate results by constituent type, donor type, appeals, and other strategic segments such as class year, degree/major, sport or others.

    • Manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving prospects and cultivate and personally solicit them for annual support.

    Requirements:

    • Required Degree(s): Bachelor's degree

    • Required Field of Expertise: Four or more years annual giving and/or direct response/solicitation experience

    • Preferred Field of Expertise: Experience in higher education preferred

    • Preferred Training/Cert: Experience using Raiser's Edge or RE NXT preferred

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Working knowledge of established principles, standards, and practices in philanthropy and fundraising.

    • Competency and proficiency in written and oral communications.

    • Familiarity with database platforms for constituent relations and/or fundraising.

    • Understanding of the strategic overlap between institutional or organizational priorities and donor motivations and interests.

    • Excellent time and project management skills; appropriate attunement to deadlines and deliverables.

    • A donor-centric/alumni-centric approach to marketing and communication with constituents

    • Capability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in partnership with colleagues

    • Commitment to data-driven decision making and program evaluation; strong analytical orientation and skills.

    • Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituents.

    Work Schedule

    This is a full-time, twelve-month, exempt-level, benefits eligible position. Normal office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., flexible to the needs of the department, and will require occasional evening and weekend work along with regional travel.
