Applications Development Director directs all activities and develops policies and procedures related to the design, analysis, testing, coding, and implementation of applications. Enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Being an Applications Development Director oversees review of development proposals, projects, timelines, resources, and costs. Develops feedback processes for peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Additionally, Applications Development Director establishes a performance culture by incorporating individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. May develop and manage outsourcing budgets, vendor relationships, or off-shore resources. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Applications Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Applications Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. About Northeast Kingdom Human Services NKHS is a 501(c)(3) private not-for-profit organization operating with the purpose of promoting high quality, comprehensive community mental health programs in Vermont’s beautiful Northeast Kingdom. Our mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities by promoting hope, healing, and support.  NKHS is a Designated Agency contracted with the State of Vermont to provide the highest quality of service in the areas of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, children and youth with serious emotional disabilities, and adults with mental health and substance use challenges.  We serve the populations of Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties through a wide variety of targeted programs for individuals of all ages. NKHS has over 450 employees providing case management, community and home supports, residential care, psychiatry, medication management, therapy, vocational supports, school based counseling, emergency care, and respite services. Plan and execute fundraising events that effectively communicate the organization's mission and goals. Maintain accurate records of receipts and disbursements. Set financial goals and budgets in line with short- and long-term organizational objectives. Cultivate relationships with potential donors. Identify and maintain a comprehensive list of potential financial donors and produce compelling fundraising literature to engage previous donors and the wider community in supporting NKHS. Actively participate in and lead grant writing projects. Conduct research to identify potential sources of grants and public funding. Prepare and submit grant applications, ensuring compliance with guidelines and deadlines.   QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Accounting, or similar field required. Five years of experience in fundraising for a nonprofit organization highly preferred.   SALARY & BENEFITS Competitive Salary starting at $80,000 based on experience. 403b retirement plan with Agency contribution and match. 5 weeks paid vacation annually plus 12 sick days and 12 paid holidays.
