POSITION PROFILE
Under general supervision of the IT Director, the Application Programmer’s role is to assist in the definition, development, testing, analysis, and maintenance of new or existing software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Experience in the operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies and software applications.
· Working knowledge of current web applications, including content management systems, and SharePoint
· Maintain and troubleshoot existing intranet ASP.NET Web Forms applications written in C# with SQL Server as backend.
· Convert legacy Access applications into ASP.NET WebForms/MVC/WebAPI applications with SQL server as backend.
· Maintain existing public facing website written in .NET applications with SQL server as backend.
· Work with end users and Business Analysts to collect user requirements and develop technical designs and specifications.
· Test and deploy applications
· Provide technical support to end users.
QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· ASP.Net (web application development), C# and .NET Framework
· Familiar with IIS
· Source Control
· Proficiency in a variety of programming languages and software tools , including.NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
· Understanding of coding methods and best practices.
· Relational database and operating systems experience with Microsoft SQL Server
· SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
· JavaScript, AJAX, Bootstrap, JQuery, HTML and CSS, Responsive Web Design
· Solid knowledge of SQL relational databases.
· Can write complex T-SQL and stored procedures.
· Solid understanding of Object Oriented type of development as a base and understanding of current development strategies and libraries in the industry
