Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Oracle Apps DBA to join our team. The Principal Oracle Apps DBA will have extensive experience with Oracle along with a proven track record of successfully migrating Oracle databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Management of numerous Oracle RDBMS databases and Oracle e-Business Suite Applications on Linux and Microsoft Windows environments both on-prem and in the Oracle Cloud.

Design, plan, and execute database migrations from on-premises environments to the Oracle Cloud.

Monitor database health and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.

Research, plan, recommend, and implement patches, upgrades, and installations for Oracle products, including quarterly CPU patches.

Tune database environments to ensure performance and service delivery expectations are met.

Participate in the resolution of critical and complex design and implementation issues across projects.

Ensure business continuity through design, implementation and testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Provide mentoring to less experienced DBAs.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent computer-related experience with at least 8 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience.

Minimum of 8 years Oracle experience with strong knowledge and experience on Oracle technology architecture including RAC, Grid Infrastructure, WebLogic, Oracle e-Business Suite.

Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical abilities with the ability to apply commonsense understanding to explore solutions to customer issues with limited information.
- Must be able to perform root cause analysis of problems, provide solutions and communicate clearly to customers and management.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail the ability to set clear priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in supporting 24/7 database production environments and be comfortable resolving support issues in stressful situations.
- High degree of experience in supporting custom or packaged business applications in Oracle. Strong skills in shell scripting, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and APEX/ORDS.

Experience with implementing, upgrading, and supporting Oracle e-Business Suite is highly desirable.

Must have the aptitude and desire to continually learn about new tools and technology and can evaluate the best solution for stated problems.

Must have solid knowledge of hardening databases, security management, and security related products.

Experience with Oracle Fusion Applications (OFA) and migrating databases to the Oracle Cloud is a plus.

Experience with PeopleSoft, Maximo, Sunflower Assets, Plateau Training applications is a plus.

Experience with Markview / Kofax is a plus.

Knowledge of Java, J2EE, Web Services (SOAP), HTML, XML, SSL is a plus.

Experience maintaining and patching Oracle Exadata is plus.

Experience using Rubrik backup and recovery software is plus.

Exposure to creating and maintaining automated database deployments is a plus.

The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Telecommuting or teleworking may be a possibility for this position.

Flexible work schedule can be negotiated with the manager; employees can work 5/8's, 9/80's or 4/10's work-weeks.

Personnel may be requested by leadership to work in excess of 40 hours per week due to projects, activities, and emergences; critical operational demands may occasionally require off-shift work.

Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Annual salary range for this position is: $110,427.20 - $168,396.80.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
