Job Summary:

The Information Systems - Applications Programmer will be responsible for leading the design, programming, debugging, and modification of software enhancements and new products across various platforms, including local, networked, cloud-based, and Internet-related applications. This role will also oversee Help Desk support to end-users.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom system software, and/or the installation and maintenance of purchased systems software.
• Regularly reviews applications performance and availability metrics to ensure the applications are within established set standards.
• Maintains and supports multiple systems of complex software applications and their associated hardware at multiple sites.
• Perform complex programming assignments requiring an advanced aptitude of established programming standards, methods, and best practices.
• Design application and database components for development projects.
• Perform analysis of business models, logical specifications, and/or customer requirements to design and build Internet solutions utilizing multiple technologies.
• Mitigate significant risks associated with projects, which have a high technical complexity and/or involve significant challenges to the business.
• Understand the business problem being solved and recommend the best solution.
• Demonstrates initiative and works independently as needed to accomplish responsibilities.
• May interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
• Interfaces routinely with colleagues who may be located at any of the Group practices to perform job responsibilities requiring virtual collaboration and partnership.
• May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.
• Create, review, and secure approval for system and programming documentation.
• Mentor and train team members and users in system conversion and implementation.
• Supporting end-users by answering inquiries, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues, and escalating problems as needed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in applications programming,
• Leadership roles experience is a Plus.
• 5 years of experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience working with customers to build and formulate business requirements.
• 5 years C#, VB.NET, Python, Web Services, Object-oriented design techniques, and common design patterns.
• 5 years' experience in database systems like Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• 5 years of experience in writing SQL queries and stored procedures
• Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) tools, especially Power BI.
• Experience testing, debugging, and diagnosing software bugs and system issues.
• Experience in automated testing desired.
• Experience in implementing business critical, high volume, and highly available services is a must.
• A strong hands-on development track records building integration and application utilizing a variety of technologies, development tools and database system.
