  • We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team on-site for a client based in the Long Beach, CA region.

    Position Details:

    • Employment Type: Full-time
    • Schedule: Monday to Friday (on-site)
    • Salary Range: $170,000 to $200,000
    • Level: Senior

    Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated senior-level project leadership
    • 20 years of experience in public works projects
    • Proficiency in Design-Build and/or Progressive Design-Build methodologies
    • Preferred experience in institutional or higher education projects, with CSU experience being advantageous
    • Ability to oversee and lead design and construction teams

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the Design and Construction process
    • Lead project collaboration efforts from initial planning to closeout, ensuring effective leadership throughout the project lifecycle
    • Prepare, manage, and support documentation required for post-performance reviews, audits, or inspections
    • Monitor contract budgets, reconcile contracts, and report on monthly cash flow activities
    • Guide design decisions to maintain project scope within approved budgets, coordinating the value engineering process
    • Prepare schematic, preliminary, and construction document submittals for review
    • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for committee meetings and executive-level presentations
    • Procure required plan reviews prior to bidding, ensuring compliance with regulations and authorities having jurisdiction

    Requirements:

    • Minimum five years of proven working experience in construction management
    • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods
    • Expertise in building products, construction details, and relevant regulations and quality standards
    • Familiarity with construction management software
    • Experience in education-building infrastructure and DSA codes and procedures
    • Leadership, human resources management, time management, and project management skills
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
