Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Design.
Leadership skills; ability to coach and mentor individuals to generate
successful creative projects.
A collaborative approach that fits with the company culture.
Demonstrated ability to lead discussions and overcome challenging
situations with troubleshooting and project management skills and excellent
communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to design for web and print.
Coordinate with Design Team members and the Producer to help define scope,
schedule design tasks and meet milestone demands.
Perform ongoing design to iterate on, improve, and flesh out the game
design throughout the development process from early design to post release
add-ons.
Work with all departments on the scheduling and integration of the game
design, as well as game feature development goals and execution.
Lead, coordinate and participate in collaborative efforts to implement and
balance gameplay features, based on the design.
