    Job Description

    Campus Recreation cultivates life-long health and active lifestyle experiences. We honor the Jesuit Catholic
    commitment to the formation of the whole person through diverse programming in a safe, fun
    environment. Oversees the following student employee positions: facility supervisor, Quonset Hut
    supervisor, and special event staff. This position is responsible for the safety, security, cleanliness and general
    management of the Margot Connell Recreation Center, Quonset Hut, Main Campus and Brighton Campus
    outdoor recreation fields and courts. Additionally responsible for staffing all internal and external events
    occurring in Campus Recreation facilities. Works evening and weekend hours as assigned. Responds to and
    handles emergencies and supervises all student staff throughout the facility. Serves as an integral member of
    the Campus Recreation IT Team.

    Campus Recreation serves a campus community of over 15,000 on an annual basis with an excess of
    600,000 visitors.
    More than 11,000 members utilize the Margot Connell Recreation Center, Newton Quonset Hut, and
    outdoor recreation fields and courts on a daily basis.
    Responsible for facilities management of the 244,000 square foot Margot Connell Recreation Center,
    the 4,000 square foot Newton Quonset Hut.
    Oversee and schedule Special Event student staff as needed for over 40 varsity events, 15 major
    student events, over 100 smaller student groups, ten university events, and 40 non-BC groups each
    year.
    Hire, train, supervise, and mentor over 80 student employees at the Margot Connell Recreation
    Center and Quonset Hut using a budget of approximately $160,000.
    Serves as integral member of the Campus Recreation IT Team that makes decisions on software
    purchases, upgrades, and operating procedures; including current membership and enterprise
    software system.
    Manages purchasing of all emergency medical equipment and supplies for Campus Recreation.
    Hire, train, manage, and work with Facilities & Operations Graduate Assistant

    Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $53,150 to $66,450; salary commensurate with relevant experience.



    Requirements

    Must have strong interpersonal, written, computer, and diplomacy skills and must be able to handle
    multiple tasks at one time.
    Experience in facility emergency response.
    Ability to thrive in a diverse student service environment.
    Experience using technology in a recreation environment.
    This position will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all
    NCAA, ACC and Institutional rules.

    Bachelor in Recreation Management or related field, Masters Preferred or equivalent work
    experience.
    American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
    American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor certified or obtain within
    the first three months of employment.
    Certified Pool Operator's License required or obtain within the first three months of employment.
    3 years experience in facility supervision, assistant management, maintenance, personnel management,
    technology, and customer service.

    Responsible for working set shifts: Tuesday 4:00pm-12:00am, Wednesday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm (varies
    with events, Saturday flexible shift (varies with events). Hours will adjust during summer as facilities close at
    9pm.
