Assistant School Principal jobs in Framingham, MA

Winchester Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal at McCall Middle School.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed as a Principal/Assistant Principal by the Department of Education, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Experience in teaching and school administration for a minimum of 5 years. 
• Knowledge of best practices in teaching, learning, assessment, and instructional technology tools, and resources.
• Experience with special education and IEP development process preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate staff in conjunction with Building Principal.
• Respond to student behavioral issues.
• Support and provide leadership to teachers in the development and implementation of their individual goals and their professional development.
• Provide training and coaching for staff.
• Support students' physical and social emotional well-being.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with community based groups, parents, students and District administrators.
• Participate in the recruitment and hiring of staff.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders of the school community.
• Promote care of the building and grounds.
• Enforce observance of school laws and regulations, practices, fire drills, and enforce health and safety regulations. 
• Work collaboratively with all teachers and staff to create a master teaching schedule.
• Coordinate state testing administration.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 215 days

McCall Middle School (Winchester, MA) serves more than 1,084 students and their families in grades 6-8. Personal and academic growth as well as building skills in self-advocacy during the middle school years prepares students for high school and beyond.
