MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
POSITION SUMMARY: Massabesic Middle School seeks an experienced educational leader who is committed to the growth, development, and academic achievement of adolescent learners. The ideal candidate will have a child-centered focus, comprehensive understanding of the social and emotional needs of young adolescents, strong classroom experience, and leadership skills. They will have the skills to support a safe learning environment; an understanding of and experience with effective student and personnel management; excellent communication skills; and an ability to work collaboratively with students, families, staff, and the community.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a variety of school administrative functions (e.g. student discipline, school schedule, after school programs, assigned personnel, etc.) for the purpose of enforcing school, district, and state policy and maintaining safety and efficiency of school operations.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary, work year, and working conditions to be established by the RSU 57 School Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the School Board’s policy on evaluation.
