    We're currently searching for an Assistant Director to International Student Experience to join the Cranwell International Center (CIC) team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission. The Assistant Director for International Student Experience reports to the Associate Director for International Programs and is uniquely focused on international student success at Virginia Tech. This includes leading the development, implementation, and assessment of a wide range of international student programs designed to support international student adjustment, integration, and success.     Here's what you need to know about the role:

    1. You'll be joining the Cranwell International Center, a department that exists to articulate, advocate, and act in support of international students, amplifying their contributions to the Virginia Tech community and to the advancement of the university as more globally oriented and internationally connected.

    2. You'll report to the Associate Director for International Programs. This position is a Regular, Calendar Year, 100% Administrative Professional appointment.

    3. You'll be primarily responsible for orienting international students to their VT experience, creating programs that foster connections, providing training for campus partners around the student experience, and championing an inclusive campus community.

    4. You'll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.

    5. You'll be offered a salary range from $52,000 - $55,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

    Required Qualifications

    - Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
    - Demonstrated experience, including advising, coaching, teaching, and mentoring.
    - Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining a budget.
    - Demonstrated experience developing and delivering presentations and trainings to diverse constituents.
    - Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.
    - Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and intercultural.
    - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
    - Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
    - Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, implementing, and assessing student support programs and services.
    - Demonstrated commitment to support international student success through general advising, critical campus collaborations, and student advocacy.

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience working with international students.
    - Knowledge of the international student experience in a university setting.
    - International experience, which might include living, traveling, or studying abroad.
