Accounting Director
This position supports the work of the Mystic Valley YMCA, a leading nonprofit located in Malden, Massachusetts with a mission to strengthen our communities with relevant, continually evolving programs and services that enrich the lives of all people in spirit, mind and body.
The accounting director manages the overall accounting function, including general ledger postings, reconciliations and reporting. This person also works closely with the payroll administrator, ensures preparation of complete and accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and assists in the preparation of the annual operating budget. The accounting director trains staff, administers approved accounting policies and procedures and maintains internal controls throughout the YMCA.
