Assoc. Professor - Chemical Engineering jobs in Cambridge, MA

EPM’s fire protection division provides fire protection engineering design and code consulting and chemical process safety services to a variety of clients in the public and private sectors as well as fire protection and regulatory consulting services to the nuclear power industry. EPM has experienced significant growth supporting clients in the public and private sectors and is continuing to expand.

EPM is seeking a chemical process safety specialist/ professional who can contribute to growing the chemical process safety function. Qualified candidates will be able to assist in obtaining and performing work related to:

· Process Safety Management Programs (PSM)

· Process Hazard Analyses (PHA)

· Risk Management Plans (RMP)

· Other related consulting services

This position will augment EPM’s expertise in fire protection, risk analysis and systems safety analysis and will enhance EPM’s qualifications to offer a comprehensive range of services related to chemical process safety.

Occasional travel may be required.

Education:

• Minimum BS degree in chemical engineering, industrial hygiene or similar.

Experience & Skills:

• 10 years of experience, registered PE or IH certification is preferred
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and CCPS regulations/guidelines
• Strong presence and connections in the industry
• Excellent technical and business development skills
• Self-sufficient and able to work independently as well as contribute to team tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
