    Description/Job Summary

    Lead Electrical Engineer
    RMF Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee the Electrical Department of our Boston Division. Enthusiastic and energetic, the successful candidate will work with a cross-functional team on electrical building systems and projects. The role is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the entire electrical team including training, coaching, hiring, and quality control.  The position reports to Boston’s Division Manager. 


    Position Description:
    The Lead Electrical Engineer will perform engineering calculations, code analysis, and lead the electrical design for all phases of a project.  Furthermore, the engineer will provide guidance, technical direction, and mentorship to support team members including other electrical engineers/designers. The engineer should be self-driven to complete design and analysis tasks for projects as well as coordinate design and design issues with the project manager, team members and outside design consultants.  
     
    The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:

    • Lighting control systems
    • Power distribution
    • Fire alarm design
    • Electrical site plans
    • Electrical calculations
    • Field investigation
    • Reviewing submittals
    • Knowledge of NEC and standard industry design practices

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) Degree from accredited college or university.
    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical design.
    • PE (Professional Engineer) license.
    • Design experience using Autodesk Revit software for Building Information Modeling.
    • Experience with field work and documentation of existing engineering conditions.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience communicating directly with clients.
    • Experience with SKM or ETap.
