Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of electrical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Job Responsibilities:
* Development of electrical test equipment and respective test programming, to be used for acceptance testing of robotic systems and sub systems.
* Document test procedures, test specifications, and acceptance criteria for new and existing products.
* Develop training plans for test operators.
* Write scripts to automate manual computer tasks.
* Propose design changes that will enhance product manufacturability and testability.
* Work with suppliers to support deployed product and respective tests.
* Evaluate and approve product electrical Engineering Changes Orders (ECOs).
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in electrical/computer/robotics engineering or equivalent.
* 5 years related work experience, in environments that are fast paced and require multitasking.
* Functional knowledge of one or more high level programming languages.
* Experience with programmable equipment and device under test control using standard software tools.
* Experience in designing or specifying electrical test interfaces for functionally testing electrical sub-assemblies.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience testing and calibrating cameras.
* Experience with in-circuit-test (ICT) development with external vendors.
* Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Experience developing & maintaining Automated Test Systems using LabVIEW/TestStand, Python, Linux shell scripts or equivalent tools.
* Experience with bench-top electrical debug tools as well as electrical design of test circuitry.
* Experience with spectrum and network analyzers.
* Experience with networking and wireless computer systems.
