Massachusetts Youth Soccer is looking for an outgoing and energetic individual to serve as the Mass Youth Soccer official

Mascot Handler at association public appearances.

Assigned Responsibilities

Included but not limited to:

• Accompany Winnah while performing at association and community appearances.
• Transport Winnah’s Cooling Tent, mascot costume, and any other necessary items for the appearance at the Mass Youth Soccer offices in Lancaster prior to each appearance and deliver it back to the office after the appearance.
• Transport equipment in your personal vehicle to event location.
• Assist with the setup of the Winnah Cooling Tent (10’x10’ pop up tent with walls and portable air conditioning
• unit) at the event location (events at SBLI Fields at Progin Park do not require cooling tent)
• Assist with taking pictures and improving the overall guest experience.
• Commit to the assigned schedule of the Mass Youth Soccer Mascot appearances at complex and non-complex events.
• Act as the “eyes, ears, and voice” for the Mascot performer, including awareness of game progression, in-game activations, fan requests, and potential hazards.
• Assist Mascot performer with event preparation (costume) and provide logistical support during appearances.
• Attend and work all scheduled events throughout the year.
• Consistently represent the Mass Youth Soccer mission, vision, and values in a positive and friendly manner at all events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions including heat and cold.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Evenings as needed
• Weekends as needed
