Full-Time Onsite Position
Our award-winning client, known for its national presence and numerous accolades, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.
Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's manufacturing plant. You will lead a team of maintenance personnel, collaborating closely with various departments to uphold safety, environmental, and production standards. This is a full-time onsite position with paid relocation.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical expert in troubleshooting and restoring operation of various manufacturing process equipment, including fluid systems, steam systems, hydraulic components, control systems, and support equipment.
- Supervise, provide direction, and lead daily tasks for assigned mechanical and electrical employees to support safety, environmental, and production goals.
- Utilize information systems (e.g., SAP, MS Excel) to track performance metrics and enhance team productivity.
- Optimize maintenance scheduling to minimize asset downtime and maximize output, overseeing daily work hours and overtime utilization.
- Identify and resolve maintenance performance issues, ensuring quality work and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental staff to achieve plant and department objectives.
- Develop and enhance Asset Care & Responsibility (AC&R) processes to boost productivity and decrease machine downtime, implementing metrics for measurement.
- Conduct comprehensive employee performance development, including recognition, feedback, and disciplinary action when necessary.
- Lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives related to maintenance activities.
- Assess operational conditions and provide recommendations to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
- Manage projects, including coordinating with contractors, design assistance, and crew direction.
- Conduct training sessions for maintenance personnel.
- Implement and maintain best maintenance and safety practices.
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly shift meetings, focusing on EHS&Q leadership and maintaining housekeeping strategies.
What You Bring to the Table:
- High School/Technical School diploma with a minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance; or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred with a minimum of 5 years' experience managing an industrial maintenance hourly workforce.
- Experience in preventative and predictive maintenance, demonstrating increased equipment reliability.
- Solid understanding of various plant systems and the ability to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; familiarity with technical drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Visio) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and presentation skills.
- Solid analytical abilities and a commitment to quality improvement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all organizational levels.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, codes, and regulations (e.g., OSHA, National Electric Code).
- Willingness to respond to emergency situations outside normal work hours.
- Experience managing a staff of 10-15 hourly employees, including performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring, and termination.
- Minimal travel required (0 – 10 days per year).
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various environmental conditions and physical requirements.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
- experience working as a Maintenance Supervisor/Lead in a manufacturing environment
- prefer local candidates but open to relocating. Fruita, CO is a small town so if a candidate has never been or doesn't have any connection to the area it may not be the best fit. If someone previously lived in Fruita or near the area could be a good fit.
- Only requires a high school diploma but we prefer someone with an Associates Degree or a Bachelors
- Need strong organizational skills managing preventative maintenance
- Need experience on excel, word, we have a ERP system that they will need to learn
