    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Teach courses in introductory psychology, abnormal psychology, counseling skills, addiction studies, and cross-cultural psychology at an indigenous serving undergraduate four-year psychology program.  Additional responsibilities include supervising senior capstone projects and student practicums; developing new courses as needed; participation in program assessment and academic advising. Teaching assignments primarily involve courses delivered through online and hybrid instructional modalities. Instructional faculty are also expected to conduct research or applied scholarship in the discipline, participate in service activities and faculty governance.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    1. Earned PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA and regionally accredited college or university;
    2. Evidence of high-quality teaching and potential for conducting relevant scholarly and applied research;
    3. Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
     Desirable Qualifications:
    1. Published research or clinical experience with a focus on multicultural or indigenous populations;
    2. Ability to interact effectively and teach in a multicultural setting;
    3. Experience teaching clinically-related courses in psychology and substance abuse and addiction studies;
    4. Demonstrated ability to teach web-based courses;
    5. Ability to involve undergraduates in research experiences;
    6. Relevant published research;
    7. Experience in course/program assessment and accreditation.
