Required Education and/or Experience:
MSW from CSWE-accredited School of Social Work;
Doctorate in Social Work or a closely related field; ABD doctoral candidates will be considered (doctorate to be completed in the first year of employment).
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
At least two years post-MSW practice experience;
Prior teaching experience in higher education, with the ability to teach across the curriculum;
Online teaching experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidate will teach BSW and/or MSW classes each semester;
Candidate is also expected to provide service to the School and community and maintain the research agenda;
Candidate will keep course content timely and in line with accreditation standards;
Candidate will engage in scholarship sufficient to meet requirements for promotion, tenure, or other advancements, as appropriate for the rank;
Engage in service at the university level, community level, and professional level, sufficient to meet requirements for promotion, tenure, or other advancements, as appropriate for the rank;
Respond to inquiries regarding the designated program(s);
Monitor student progress through the program and adjust degree plans as necessary;
Performs other duties as assigned.

Computer literacy and practical knowledge of current technology;
Strong commitment to effective teaching;
Ability to teach introductory and advanced-level classes;
Knowledge of social work history, theory, and practice concepts.
