POSITION: SOCIAL WORK SPECIALIST P/T

Brief Description:

Under the supervision of the Social Work director, potential candidate will execute social services for clients and establish understanding and proper communication with them. Make field visits to investigate and gather information on clients' situations necessary to determine plan of service. Intakes and notes on sessions will be documented utilizing appropriate social work protocols. Candidate will analyze social and financial data of those applying for assistance. Responsible for the planning and administration of treatment plans geared towards the needs of individual clients. Responsibilities may also include managing the Municipal Alliance substance abuse prevention grant including organizing programs, advisory meetings and grant paperwork. Manages essential files and records as necessary.

Qualifications:

Applicant must hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university; A New Jersey License in Social Work (LSW) and/or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) preferred. Two years of experience in social case work preferred. Thorough knowledge of social work theory, practices, procedures and methods of social work. Ability to collect and analyze data related to social work. Experience with various types of electronic systems used by the department.

Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey.

Salary: $30.92 - $46.15 an hour; Salary is commensurate with experience.
