Associate Dean of Education jobs in Colorado

Associate Dean of Education assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of education. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Education provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Education typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.       District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year K-12 teaching experience up to 15 years.

      Benefits:

      Salary: The minimum starting pay is $39,384*/year and the maximum salary is $62,988*/year. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant administrative experience (the maximum credit granted is 15 years).
      • Salary reflects 2021-2022 pay schedule and is subject to change.
      • Salary will include 15% differential



      Interviews are site-based and not conducted by the Human Resources office.

      Qualifications and Expectations:
      • Bachelor’s degree plus additional coursework required for certification or licensure.
      • Degree in Early Childhood Education and/or Early Childhood Special Education or related areas with state license as a teacher ages 0-5 Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education.
      • Colorado Deptarment of Education Teacher License
      • Endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education required
      • Administrator’s License required
      Additional Qualifications Preferred:
      • Experience in programming for regular Early Childhood and Early Childhood SpecialEducation preferred.
