Associate Dean of Engineering assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of engineering. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Engineering provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Engineering typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Engineering typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. The Dean of Operations will be responsible for implementing and overseeing systems and procedures. They will be responsible for the school’s programming, hiring and onboarding new staff, developing and leading in-service professional development trainings, and oversight of students daily data collection. The Dean of Operations will supervise milieu staff and the Milieu Coordinator. The Bay Cove Dean of Operations will be an integral member of the Bay Cove Academy School Leadership team that works collaboratively together. This group of team leaders are responsible for professional development, curriculum oversight, policy implementation, technology advancement, promoting inclusivity and diversity to implement best practices and apply research to lead the school.
