Associate Dean of Fine Arts jobs in South Dakota
Associate Dean of Fine Arts assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of fine arts. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Fine Arts provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Fine Arts typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Fine Arts typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. culture.RCIS includes two elementary schools, a high school, The Heritage Center, and six
churches on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in southwestern South Dakota. By
integrating both Lakota culture and heritage with spiritual beliefs and practices from
the Lakota and Catholic traditions, RCIS aims to educate both the mind and the heart
of its students, parishioners, and staff, creating leaders of tomorrow with competence,
conscience, and compassion.Position Summary:
This faculty member will work in the Elementary School teaching, mentoring and working collaboratively
with peers.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Teach assigned Lakota Fine Art assignments (art, dance, drama, song).
- Provide homework assistance to students
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
- Participate in school activities
- Actively participate in staff meetings
- Complete all student record-keeping responsibilities, including grading, assessments, and behavior, using
the Infinite Campus system
- Integrate Lakota and Ignatian spirituality into classroom pedagogy
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
I. Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree
- Language Speaker - Preferred
- SD Teacher Certification - Preferred
II. Physical Requirements:
- Must be able up to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs

Base Annual Salary Depends on Credentials- $ 33,000 - $ 35,50
