Associate Dean of Law assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of law. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Law provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Law typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Law typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Family Law Associate Attorney

1 year of Litigation Experience, Family Law preferred
Draft legal memorandum, pleadings, motions and correspondence to clients and counsel
Conduct legal research
Draft discovery, including interrogatories, Request for Production of Documents and Request for Admissions
Prepare written responses to discovery
Prepare subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum
Conduct witness interviews
Trial Preparation, including drafting of direct and cross examinations and witness preparation
Prepare trial notebooks
Prepare deposition outlines and exhibit notebooks
Conduct and defend depositions
Court appearances for motions, hearing and trials, and attend ADR and mediation
Assist Principal Attorney with additional tasks on client matters as necessary
Job Requirements:
1 year of Litigation Experience, Family Law preferred
Admitted to the Michigan Bar
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills necessary to prioritize competing priorities and meet all deadlines
