Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of an undergraduate program. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Executive Assistant
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Dean of the Undergraduate College, the Executive Assistant will perform a wide variety of administrative tasks in support of the Dean and the department. Supervise two staff members, serves as the office manager, schedules meetings and maintain the Dean’s calendar, coordinates travel, takes notes at meetings, manages special events, pays invoices, manages the budget, processes reimbursements, assists with special programs and other duties as needed.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role. Must be able to work some nights and weekend. Experience as an executive assistant in higher education preferred.
